Welcome to The PhysAssist

As the founder of PhysAssist Consulting, I've had a journey in medicine that began in 2006 when I got my first job as a scribe in ophthalmology. Despite having no college education, limited funds, and no transportation, I was determined to make the most of the opportunity. From day one, I gave my best and committed to meticulous execution, eventually developing a passion for process improvement.

It was a chance encounter with an ophthalmic technician while working in retail that set me on the path to my career. She worked for the store part-time and spoke to me about her job. I was immediately drawn to her career path and was surprised to hear that a college education was not a requirement. I applied for a job at the practice and landed an interview with the practice administrator. Though he liked me, the practice was not keen on hiring someone without experience. So, I studied everything I could from surgical procedures to scribing techniques, and during the interview, I impressed the administrator with my knowledge. I was offered a job on the spot, and that's how my journey in medicine began.

Since then, I've served in various roles, including Clinical Trainer, Clinical Director, Director of Marketing, Director of Operations, Sr. Director of Optimization/Marketing, and Vice President for a large Management Services Organization. I pursued my education, got married, had my first child, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kennesaw State University and an MBA from Emory Goizueta Business School.

Why do I share this with you? Because I want to emphasize that my journey has instilled in me a zeal for knowledge and the drive to optimize medical practices. I have the experience and education to help you grow your patient list. At PhysAssist Consulting, we use the Kaizen approach to improve your processes, and we are committed to developing solutions that lead to real results for your practice.
